The purpose of this event is to bring together community members & advocates, health professionals, and policymakers to:
Raise awareness about the cancer cluster in Houston Texas, lung cancer risk factors (e.g. air pollution, hazardous chemicals, radon, smoking), and options for reducing risk.
Provide health education about the lung cancer continuum of care, including prevention, early detection and screening, initiation into care, treatment, and survivorship.
Identify existing community resources related to the cancer continuum of care available to residents of Houston, Texas.
