The purpose of this event is to bring together community members & advocates, health professionals, and policymakers to:
Raise awareness about how the environment impacts the health of individuals living in the cancer cluster of Greater Fifth Ward and Kashmere Gardens, with a particular focus on racial health inequities experienced by Black residents.
Gain perspective from attendees on systemic barriers and facilitators to healthy environmental and community conditions for Black Houstonians
Uplift community-derived solutions that can be used to inform multi-level policy and practice-based change around reducing racial health inequities in Houston.
