Engaging Workshops That Foster Health Equity
Our Flagship Workshop
The Anti-Racism Workshop for Health Professionals
We help teams of health professionals in universities and other institutions uncover the trauma of racism and its impact on health outcomes, including:
Understanding racism, racialized health disparities, and their social, historical, and political causes
Recognizing racism as a fundamental cause of health disparities and exploring the pathways that connect racism to poor health outcomes
Exploring the core constructs of Critical Race Theory (CRT)
Applying principles of CRT and antiracism to health research and practice in order to learn ways we can actively mitigate the impact of racism on health outcomes

“I especially appreciated how much you included the audience and encouraged participation! Everyone seemed to find the training impactful and helpful in their work.”
— Monica Castro, NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault

A twist on professional education
Our workshops are unique for three reasons:
We model inclusive conversations so that information and ideas flow freely, rather than the traditional top-down educational model.
We engage participants using culturally relevant material. Stats come to life through real-world stories and perspectives.
Each instructor is a public health professional with our own passions and personality. We bring our whole selves to the workshop and invite participants to do the same.
